ABOUT Once upon a time lived a band called the Super Hi-Tops. Based in Edinburgh - Scotland, funk- rock-indie-punk was the name of the game. When this band ceased to exist, a new organism was born. Love Deficiency is the solo project of former Hi- Tops' lead guitarist / lead vocalist / songwriter, Craig (Dogboy) Nicholson. The new style is indie- rock-punk-pop. Dogboy takes the concept 'solo artist' to the extreme by playing every instrument and recording and producing all his own material. Influences include Jane's Addiction, Stone Roses, The Clash, Smashing Pumpkins, Gomez, etc. An album is in the making. Songs will be uploaded to the site as the album progresses. Included will be two or three late Hi-Tops' songs which were never recorded, hailed by many as their best work. |
