 Love Deficiency is the solo project of former Super Hi-Tops' frontman / songwriter, Craig (Dogboy) Nicholson. The style is indie-rock-punk-pop. Dogboy takes the concept 'solo artist' to the extreme by playing every instrument and recording and producing all his own material. All songs are recorded in a bedroom with little more equipment than a pc and a few pre-amps. Influences include Jane's Addiction, Stone Roses, The Clash, Porno for Pyros, Kula Shaker, Blind Melon, Gomez, etc. Online collaborations: Dogboy has used the powers of the internet to find and collaborate with other artists including Tracie de Jong (New Zealand), Robyn Harvey (California), and more recently, ex band member and trumpet player Shelly Johnston (Canada). |
